This cocoa tour will begin with the discovery of the city of antelopes “Daloa”. We will start with the visit of the craft center, which is considered to be one of the oldest centers in the country. It is very popular with tourists and visitors who go there to appreciate the rich cultural heritage symbolized by its flagship product: the famous Daloa tapettes. We will then visit the sacred monkeys of Gbétitapéa. They represent the unmissable tourist attraction of the region, they occupy the trees, parks and streets while benefiting from the protection of the inhabitants. Considered sacred, they come and go in complete freedom, while offering a unique spectacle.
Day 1: Hexagon – Abidjan
Arrival and reception at Félix Houphouët-Boigny airport in Abidjan by our agents, transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Abidjan - Daloa
Breakfast and early departure for Daloa which is also known as “the city of antelopes”. Arrival, Check-in at the hotel and visit of the city of Daloa. Visit of the craft center, which is considered to be one of the oldest centers in the country. Visit of the sacred monkeys of Gbétitapéa. They represent the unmissable tourist attraction of the region, they occupy the trees, parks and streets while benefiting from the protection of the inhabitants. Considered sacred, they come and go in complete freedom, while offering a unique spectacle. Return in the Evening to the hotel, dinner and overnight
Day: 3 & 4: Man & surroundings – San Pedro
natural swimming pool formed at the foot of the fall, the sacred monkeys, the 18 mountains of Man including Man’s tooth and Mount Tonkoui which rises to 1,189 meters and which is the highest peak in the mountains of Man and the second highest peak in the country after Mount Nimba. Departure in the afternoon of the second day for San Pedro. Late arrival in San Pedro, check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 5 & 6: San Pedro
Breakfast and visit to the wonderful port city of San Pedro. The magnificent seaside town of San Pedro will welcome us for a day of relaxation and tasting on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Cradled by the Gulf of Guinea which offers its 150 kilometers of beach, San Pedro is the part of Côte d’Ivoire with the most beautiful beaches. San Pedro has an unparalleled seaside infrastructure and quality hotels. Beautiful romantic beaches where you can taste seafood and relax in wonderful surroundings await you. After a lazy day at the beach, visit the fishing port and the cocoa storage warehouses at the autonomous port. The port of San Pedro specializes in the
export of cocoa, of which the Ivory Coast is the world’s largest producer. Departure in the evening of the second day for Soubré, arrival, installation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Soubré
Early wake up, breakfast and visit of the town of Soubré which is the capital of the Nawa region. This region is renowned for its cocoa production and also nicknamed “the new cocoa loop”. Visit a cocoa plantation and learn about the process of growing and exploiting cocoa and meeting with farmers. Visit of the wonderful Nawa Falls, which also serve as a place of pilgrimage for the people of the region. Return to the hotel, free evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Soubré - Abidjan
Breakfast and departure for Abidjan, we will make a few stops on the way to take some pictures and contemplate the wonderful landscapes, lunch on the way and continue the trip to Abidjan. Arrival in Abidjan, installation at the hotel, free evening, dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Abidjan - Hexagon
Breakfast and visit of the city of Abidjan, you will discover the plateau, which is the business center of Abidjan with its buildings, Adjamé a large popular district and its astonishing market. Visit of the Museum of Civilizations, it is a State museum that was created in 1942 and which has a rich and varied museum collection estimated at 15,210 authentic pieces from all regions of the Ivory Coast. We will discover the fauna and flora of the Banco forest with its multiple tropical species and the famous FANICOS washers, (these are men who wash clothes with worn tires on the shore in Abidjan). The Banco National Park is located in the heart of Abidjan and covers an
area of nearly 3,000 ha. It was created in 1953 and it is an example of primary forest with rare animal and plant species. Evening transfer to Abidjan airport. END OF OUR TOUR.
